Dead Island Logo Gets Altered, Game is More "Borderlands" Than "Heavy Rain"

Dead Island's logo is getting a good old fashioned censoring.  The "I" has been reworked for North American audiences. Apparently, the hanging zombie was a little too insensitive, never mind the fact that this imagery is a staple of the western movie industry.  Maybe it was the palm tree that set people off.  Silly physics! Those fronds wont's support the weight of a zombie. At least, not an adult zombie.  A hanging child zombie? Now that would have been offensive.

For those of you wondeirng just HOW Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, and Dr. Nefarious end up in a situation where they must band together, the following story trailer may clear up some of your lingering questions. It also shows off some of the cooperative swinging and shooting that we've heard about in the past.

Section 8: Prejudice Dev Diary Smacks of Desperation

Section 8: Prejudice is trying to break the retail mold.  Developer TimeGate Studios are skirting a physical retail version of the game altogether.  This new title is supposed to have all the content of a "normal" $60 dollar game, but Section 8: Prejudice will be released for 15 bucks on the Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC.  If you haven't been paying attention, $15 is the normal price point of DLC for two of the biggest titles in the industry.  And this DLC customarily contains only a handful of maps.
