Two New White Knight Chronicles Games Announced

Early last year, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting, White Knight Chronicles was released in the USA.  I was somewhat disappointed in the co-op, as you can read about in the review, but it was a very good single player experience for the most part.  Level 5 has just announced that we'll be getting more White Knight Chronicles; in fact, not only will there be a direct sequel for Playstation 3, a prequel is coming to PSP, so you can power up into a giant White Knight on the go.

League of Legends Launches Co-Op Mode

Riots Games have announced that League of Legends has added an online co-op mode.  While the game has always had the ability to play in co-op, this marks the first time the developer has created a brand new match making playlist with a focus on co-op.  The mode allows up to five players to band together to take on the PC in single matches and earn experience and other items for their character.

Co-Optimus Community Voice March Week 2.5

It's time once again to visit the community blogs for our weekend, this time analyzing The Hype Machine. We've had a lot of people participate in the topic, and it's exciting to see what people view as overhyped or underhyped games in the community. Several staff members have participated as well, but we'll save them for a rainy day.

3DS Hardware/Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D Hands On

Getting your hands on a new piece of hardware is always an exciting experience. I feel that waiting until a week after trying out the newest in the line of Nintendo handheld’s has given me time to process the experience, and separate it from the excitement for a fair preview. While trying out the 3DS I also happened to play the first co-op title on the system - Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. I suppose we could call this a double whammy, two birds with one stone, or the most convenient hardware trial available to a co-op website at PAX East.

Our Weekend in Gaming - "Cabin Fever" Edition

Spring starts next week in the United States and it couldn't come soon enough.  Despite our love of staying indoors to game, cabin fever has definitely set in for a few of the staff.  Really, this doesn't mean we'll be going outside so much as it means we'll be playing games with the windows open.  The staff has plenty on their plate to play from some classic titles up to the recent releases.
