In the business of making more money, Activision is looking to release Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 again. A Game of the Year Edition was spotted on Amazon.ca listings, which has now been pulled. A quick screenshot of the product shows that the GOTY Edition includes the Revolution map pack DLC.
The Call of Duty franchise thrives on their precise schedule of DLC releases, and with each pack comes new maps, weapons, and if we're lucky, a new zombie mode map. Although Activision has not commented on the product listing, one can only speculate that they of all companies would re-release a game and include only one DLC pack in a 'GOTY' edition. It doesn't seem like much of a value add when previous installments of the series had 4 DLC packs. One would think you would include the already released DLC packs like Uprising, which launched last month.
I don't remember Black Ops 2 getting any Game of the Year awards, but here's to hoping that we get a couple more zombie map packs before the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts. We will see what details arise when the actual listing comes up, or Activision announces details.
