After a slight delay, Divinity: Original Sin has finally made its way into Beta, which can still be picked up on Steam's Early Access for $39.99. Larian Studios has been hard at work on a slew of new additions to see this product away from Alpha, implementing new features such as picking pockets and a fresh character creation screen.
Feast your eyes upon the new trailer.
It's always funny to see new features added into a game, as if the player characters just now thought of something else to do. "You know, normally I would just sob in front of this locked chest without ever knowing what riches might lie inside, but I finally deduced that I can just use the incredible power of sorcery to burn the lid off!" Or, "Normally I would ask for some gold, and the townsfolk would tell me to shove off, but I figured out that I can just reach my hand into their pockets and grab the money myself!"
You can read a full write-up of the new features here.
If you're still on the fence about this whole Original Sin thing, you can take a look at our hands-on co-op preview here and see what we think about it. Granted, that was before the grand move from Alpha to Beta, so plenty of things have changed.
