An opportunity to try out the fantastic 4-player co-op, bank robbery shooter, PAYDAY: The Heist, for free will be coming this fall. This is all due to the stellar community backing up the developer on Steam.
Due to Overkill reaching a milestone of over 1.05 million people on the PAYDAY 2 Steam Community group, the developer will be opening up their previous title for free download via Steam later this fall. Be sure to look out for the free title on October 18th and grab it while you can. Though it may not be as advanced as its sequel, it's still a fantastic game that spawned a co-op focused series. What's even better is that Overkill will unlock even more goodies for the community if it reaches a whopping 1.5 million hits (please check the promotional page for more info). Can it be done? We sure think so!
As for PAYDAY 2 itself, PS4 and Xbox One owners will be happy to know that an enhanced version of the game will be available in the coming months, being marketed as the "PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition". No official date has been set on it so far, but we'll keep our eyes peeled
