Road Redemption is now out on Steam's Early Access.
If I learned anything from Road Rash, then nothing compares to the rush one gets when embarking on a motorcycle journey across America with three buddies. Especially if you arm each other with chains to bludgeon other cyclists off their hogs at top speed. Introducing Road Redemption, the spiritual successor to Road Rash where you and a couple of rough riding friends commit vehicular homicide on anyone arrogant enough to be driving on your road.
Check out 96 seconds of gameplay footage.
I'm not sure how we get from axing fools on Harleys with lead pipes to blazing across the tops of buildings, but, 'eh. Video games.
Currently, three friends can join you for street mayhem through split screen or LAN play, though online connectivity is "coming soon." The game is due out for early access this month, though no date or price has been determined as of yet. However, if that gameplay footage has inspired you to acquire it immediately, you can pick it up from Darkseas' website for $24.99. You can also buy a special edition coming in at $70.00, in case you're really feeling the motorcycle-based homicide.
