Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 11.9.2014

A busy week.

Two monster releases this week for co-op gamers to enjoy. But that's not all, we also have a few family friendly games to satiate your gaming desires.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Xbox One) - Four Halo games combined into one package, updated visuals on all including a huge overhaul for Halo 2. Almost hundred multiplayer maps to experience across all of the games and plenty of co-op campaign action. We've already reviewed it. [2 player couch co-op, 4 player online co-op,  4 player combo co-op]

Assassin's Creed Unity (Xbox One, PS4, PC)The yearly AC game is back, once again focusing on a new character in the franchise. Players will visit 18th century France exploring a gorgeously re-created Paris. Up to four players can plan assassinations together in new co-op missions scattered throughout the world. We'll likely have our review up next Monday. [4 player online co-op]

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (360, One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, PC) - There are literally dozens of LEGO games out there for you to enjoy, so why should you play LEGO Batman 3? Because Batman. Also Adam West in classic 70s TV show style. [2 player couch co-op]

Sonic Boom (3DS, WiiU) - The two games are actually quite a bit different, but there is some cross platform bonus functionality. The WiiU game offers up to four players in drop-in / drop-out co-op play. [4 player couch co-op]
