Homefront: The Revolution is a little under four months away from seeing release and new information is going around regarding its co-op mode, titled "Resistance Mode." Where it was once thought that the main campaign would be playable with friends, it appears that much of that has been split off into its own thing.
The Resistance Mode will allow up to four players to form a resistance cell in Philadelphia and engage in guerilla warfare against the entrenched Korean People's Army. Each player will be able to customize their fighter, unlock skills, choose their loadout, and earn new upgrades as they play through the mode's 12 missions.
PC Gamer posted some initial impressions of the co-op mode after playing it for a few hours at a special event and likened it to games like Left 4 Dead and Payday.
In addition to this info, publisher Deep Silver has announced that Xbox One owners will have a chance of checking out the Resistance Mode in a closed beta running from February 11 - 14. All you have to do is sign-up over at the Homefront: The Revolution site and wait to hear if you're one of the lucky few to be chosen.
