Borderlands 3 launched last week and it seems it may have needed a few more minutes in the oven to get that fine, squishy texture we all love from the delicious dessert. We've been getting a few reader tips and various outlets are reporting of technical and performance issues plaguing all versions of the game.
That said, IGN has shown in a video some serious issues that specifically plague the PlayStation 4 version of the game and its split-screen couch co-op mode. Everything from framerate issues, textures not loading, unreadable text and hitches in the action can make the game almost unplayable. Check out this video.
Our own staff has been playing the PC version of the game and have found similar issues when the action really heats up. Eurogamer's Digital Foundry took a look at all versions of the game and have come to the same conclusion - there's some serious performance issues here.
The good news is 2K and Gearbox are aware of the problems and said they are working quickly to address. In the meantime, we'll just have to wait and see. How has Borderlands 3 performance been for you?
