Borderlands 3's "Bloody Harvest" Event Kicks Off Today

Let's get spoopy?

Halloween is just a week away and all the video games are getting into the spirit. Borderlands 3's "Bloody Harvest" event, which was first teased last month, kicks off today and runs until December 5. This content is free to everyone, too, so you'll be able to enjoy it as long as you own the game. During the event, you'll be able to earn unique cosmetics (such as character skins, an ECHO device skin, weapon skin) and there are new weapons to add to your collection as well.

You can read the full details of the event over on the official announcement page, but the short summary is this: go talk to an NPC on Sanctuary III, go kill certain enemies to collect enough of a material, go back and talk to the NPC (sound familiar?), and then go to the new spooky area, "Heck." There's a new boss, Captain Haunt, to fight at the end of this area, and there's a new "Terror" debuff that can be inflicted upon you by the enemies in that area. When you've got the "terror" debuff, your vision will be partially clouded and it will be harder to aim. The good news is that there are special "Anointed" weapons you can get that will turn that debuff into a buff.

While there are some issues with the game, we enjoyed it as a "loot shooter" and particularly when playing with friends. You can check out our full Co-Op Review here.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
