Ah, the joys of the wilderness. The scent of pine wafting through the air, the cool breeze on your face, the screams of your friends as you comically transport a teetering stack of wood. Such is the experience being conveyed in Lumberhill, an upcoming co-op title from 2BIGo and Another Road Publishing.
Ostensibly, Lumberhill tasks its players with the typical lumberjack duties: chopping down trees and delivering them to a designated dropoff point. (I'm assuming, at least. It's been a while since I've checked in on lumberjack labor laws.) If the announcement trailer is anything to go by, though, things get a bit... wackier than that. At some point in the game, you'll also be putting out fires and nabbing dinosaur eggs, so maybe don't hold tightly to your preconceived notions of lumberjack-ing.
If you're curious to try Lumberhill out, a demo of the game will be available during Steam's Summer Game Festival, which runs from June 16th through June 22nd. Those seeking a free copy of the game (or a VIP character) can participate in the in-game photo competition. More details on that can be found on the Steam announcement page.
Lumberhill offers both local and online co-op for up to four players, which is great news for those of us who still aren't able to hang out on a buddy's couch. When the full game arrives in Fall of this year, it will be available exclusively on Steam for PC.
