While there have been several games based on the Evil Dead film series over the years, Evil Dead: The Game from Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive is the first to let players team up to fight Deadites cooperatively. At E3, we got our first look at the horror-themed gameplay of this upcoming title for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC.
Evil Dead: The Game is a multiplayer-focused action game that will allow four survivors to work together to seal the breach between worlds that has allowed demons to run rampant. Players will have to explore, loot, manage their fear, fight, and even drive as they battle the forces of evil. Gameplay takes place in classic environments like the cabin in the woods and will feature more than 25 weapons, including Ash's chainsaw and shotgun.
In addition to co-op, Evil Dead: The Game will feature a competitive mode. One player will control the Kandarian Demon as it zooms around ominously, possessing Deadites, objects, and even survivors. The asynchronous nature of the PvP makes this game sound a lot like Dead by Daylight. Whether Evil Dead will feature a proper story mode remains to be seen.

Evil Dead: The Game will invade Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC sometime in 2021. Here's hoping for a gorey good time!
