Call of Duty: Vanguard 's campaign mode might not have set the world on fire, but the multiplayer modes are still going strong. Players who haven't jumped in yet now have a great chance to do so, as both the cooperative Zombies and competitive Multiplayer modes are free to download and play from July 20-26. What's more, July 26 will see the "Mercenaries of Fortune" update arrive (though without a new Zombies map).
Here's the official word on the free access week:
The Free Access period begins July 20 at 10 AM PT and lasts through July 26 at 8 AM PT. Experience the full suite of Vanguard’s Multiplayer and Zombies Playlists with all maps and modes available during the Free Access period, including recent releases like USS Texas 1945, Blueprint Gun Game, and Shi No Numa.
We recently shared impressions of the "Shi no Numa" Zombies map, a revamped version of a classic map. It's spooky and fun, just like you'd expect from CoD's Zombies mode. Why not grab it now and see for yourself?
Call of Duty: Vanguard sells for $69.99 on Xbox and PlayStation (you'll want to buy the Cross-Gen Bundle). The PC version costs $59.99 at Battle.net. Once again, if you're unsure about the game, be sure to take advantage of the free access that runs until July 26!
Update: We originally reported that a new Zombies map would be released on July 26. That statement was made in error.
