Back in the 1980s and 90s, games were sometimes renamed when released in Europe. Contra became Probotector, TMNT became the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, and a handful of Bomberman games were called Dynablaster. Now BBG Entertainment, the German company responsible for the really unpleasant looking Boulder Dash Plus, is resurrecting Dynablaster with a brand-new game. The new Dynablaster is coming to Xbox, Switch, and Steam in July, and it will support 4-player local and online co-op.
BBG Entertainment's Dynablaster is a Bomberman clone that features:
- One of the best BOMBER GAMES ever
- Modern 3D and fresh-looking game based on the ORIGINAL
- Local MULTIPLAYER up to 4 players
- Online MULTIPLAYER up to 4 players
- NEW very special COOPERATIVE keys collecting mode
- Well balanced SINGLE PLAYER mode
- 50 exciting LEVELS in 5 stunning WORLDS
- CUSTOMIZATION of your own character
- 9 unique BONUSES and POWER UPS
- A lot of awesome VISUAL and SOUND effects
The game will offer three modes:
- Single-player Mode: Play against up to three players who are controlled by an artificial intelligence.
- VS Mode – Local and Online Multiplayer: The game is over when only one (or none) player is left
- Cooperative keys collecting mode: Play locally with friends or online with randomly assigned players.
There are plenty of Bomberman clones out there, but Dynablaster's unique history makes it particularly interesting. The co-op mode, in which the team works together to find a certain number of keys hidden throughout each level, looks like it'll be fun, too. Considering that Super Bomberman R 2 won't have co-op, it looks like Dynablaster will pick up the slack!
Dyablaster will come to Xbox, Switch, and Steam in July.
