Team Up to Command a Cult in 'Worship,' Coming Next Year to Consoles and Steam

This darkly humorous adventure RPG is still a long way off, but it's already looking super fun.

While Cult of the Lamb is just gearing up to add local co-op, there's another cult game on the horizon that will come right out of the gate with 4-player online co-op. Worship comes from Chasing Rats Games, the developer of another co-op game called Struggling. After a successful Kickstarter campaign a few years ago, Worship is chugging along towards a 2025 release on consoles and Steam.

In Worship, players take on the role of cult leaders who must acquire new members and command them to do their bidding. These cultists are expendable in the same way as Pikmins. The game has a striking art style and a dark sense of humor, so many dark and amusing twists are likely to occur along the way. Like Cult of the Lamb, this one is a roguelike, so it should have lots of challenge and replay value.

Official co-op details:

As the saying goes: “building a cult brings people together”. Embrace the aspect of community as you build an ever-growing following dedicated to serve you and your god of choice. Invite up to three pact-mates online and work together towards your grim goal. Guaranteed chaos!

Worship is planned for an early access release on Steam in 2025, followed by a console release. Better late than never!
