Crime Boss: Rockay City Update 10 Adds a New Bank Heist and Raises the Level Cap

The star-studded cooperative heist game keeps growing and growing.

Crime Boss: Rockay City from InGame Studios and 505 Games finally arrived on Steam not long ago, and it seems to be doing well there. Crime Boss famously debuted last year in somewhat rough shape but has since recovered thanks to a series of updates. The latest such update recently came out on all platforms, adding a new layout for bank heists, raising the player level cap to 155, improving game balance, and more.

Here are abridged patch notes for Update 10:

New content:

  • New BANK layout to enhance the variety of missions.
  • LEVEL CAP update – the maximum level is now 155.
  • New Boss skin for THERESA (enhanced variant).
  • New Boss skin for VAMP (enhanced variant).
  • Rebalanced XP and cash rewards for all missions (mainly Multiplayer).

Updates: 

Progression:

  • Goldcup stealth gives full mission reward (previously reduced)
  • Playing with friends (other people) offers an XP bonus
  • A bigger XP difference for completing a mission with 3 stars vs 1 star
  • Special thanks to Flavio93Zena for cooperation on XP and cash reward rebalance
  • Boss points increased for expensive assets (since they are one-time purchases) with tweaked prices and reduced unlock levels
  • Dragon Dogs' main area can be accessed even after progressing to the lower sewers part

Gameplay Balance:

  • The sentry turret is stronger (boosted damage and health)
  • Robot heister has lower HP (-20%)
  • The camera jammer is uncommon and can be unlocked earlier.
  • Sensor grenade is now a rare gadget.

What's a Crime Boss, you ask? Crime Boss: Rockay City is a PAYDAY-style cooperative heist game with roguelike elements. Players can enjoy a fully voiced solo campaign that is highly randomized or hop into 4-player online games. Online multiplayer games offer several types of missions to complete, including the option to play a series of missions in a row. Leveling up allows players to unlock new skins and equipment, but those items must still be purchased with money earned from multiplayer games. See our co-op review for more details!

 

Crime Boss: Rockay City sells for $19.99 on Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic. The Steam version is fully Steam Deck compatible.
