As soon as Digital Eclipse announced Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, the upcoming beat 'em up based on the original Power Rangers TV series, fans wondered Tommy would play a role in the game. Tommy Oliver (played by Jason David Frank) debuted in the show as the Green Ranger and would also go on to become the White Ranger. Digital Eclipse delivered some good news today, because not only will the Green Ranger appear in the game, but he will be an unlockable character as well.
According to Digital Eclipse, "The team has incorporated Tommy's story into the game's narrative, allowing players to select the Green Ranger on future playthroughs once they’ve completed the campaign." That means Timmy is built into the game and won't have to be unlocked as DLC. He'll be joining the Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, and Pink Rangers who are already confirmed as playable.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind will feature 5-player local and online co-op. The game will arrive on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and Steam by the end of the year.
