Worship Gets a New Gameplay Video, Definitely Resembles a Spooky Pikmin Game

Learn how to recruit cultists, attack with them, and more in this upcoming cult game.

Back in June, Chasing Rats Games announced a creepy cult-based game called Worship. The game certainly has things in common with Cult of the Lamb, the popular cult game that recently gained co-op via an update. This one involves leading cultists around and using them to fight enemies, which sounds sort of like Pikmin. A new gameplay video describes the game in greater detail and reveals that yeah, Worship will be a whole lot like Pikmin but darker and cooler.

Worship for Steam

The new video has four brief chapters:

  • Rituals and followers: Rituals are spells that the player casts by drawing shapes on the ground. Drawing a circle around weak-minded people will turn them into cultists.
  • Exploration and combat: Combat is mostly performed by sending your cultists out to attack, but rituals can be used to attack as well.
  • The base: Grow creepy insects into buildings and offer precious items at the altar.
  • Test of faith: Special trials offered by the game's dark god, these tests send players to an instanced area for a mission. They also advance the story.

Worship will support 4-player online co-op. The game is planned for an early access release on Steam in 2025, followed by a console release
