Section 8: Prejudice is trying to break the retail mold. Developer TimeGate Studios are skirting a physical retail version of the game altogether. This new title is supposed to have all the content of a "normal" $60 dollar game, but Section 8: Prejudice will be released for 15 bucks on the Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC. If you haven't been paying attention, $15 is the normal price point of DLC for two of the biggest titles in the industry. And this DLC customarily contains only a handful of maps.
A new developer diary has some pretty solid information, if you can get past the wanton desperation. (It's not what you think.) The new 4 player co-op Swarm mode has some potential. It's obviously focused on Halo: Reach's Firefight and Gears of War 2's Horde mode players. The game's price point should get it some attention. We recently had some hands-on time with Section 8: Prejudice at PAX east. You can read our preview here. You may find the following video... interesting. Section 8: Prejudice should be out this spring.
