Nathan "Rad" Spencer will be getting some help for his upcoming mission.  Capcom has just released some details on the supporting cast of Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2.  In the first Bionic Commando: Rearmed, two players could play co-operatively through local shared screen play.  One controlled a green Nathan Spencer and the other controlled a red clone. (How evil the clone was is debatable since he was, in fact, blonde.)  They were both equally 'rad,'  and it didn't adversely affect the story at all.  Do you hear that, Treyarch?

DigitalMindSoft have just announced an open beta for their upcoming RTS/Action game Men of War: Assault Squad.   Players will be able to try out the new co-op skirmish game mode on two maps with up to four players.  There's also Assault Zone, Combat and Frontlines available to play - all of which have all been improved according to the publisher. 

Do you like dragons?  Do you like fantasy?  Do you like co-op games that let you burn villages?  Do you like gooooooooooooooooooold?  You do?  Well good - because out now in PSN is a game just for you called Hoard.  We've been covering it for some time - it's a four player co-op action/strategy game where you control a dragon and try to amass a wealth of gold to sleep on at night in your Dragon Lair (patent pending).

Microsoft's answer to motion control gaming is here with the Kinect. Combining a video camera with voice control and facial recognition, the Kinect looks to revolutionize the way we interact with our video games. But does it deliver on that experience, or is it merely a gimmick?

This past weekend was a 31 times XP modifier for Gears of War 2.  Tally and Marc, determined to get in on the mega-leveling action, logged in only to discover the weekend actually ended on Sunday, not Monday, as previously expected.  Undaunted, they played Horde mode, assisted by Marc's youngest son, and had a thoroughly enjoyable time on the Normal mode of the Day One map.  Instead of a detailed report, Tally and Marc teamed up in true co-op fashion to bring you the Official Co-Optimus Gears of War Co-Op Quiz.  So grab a pencil, put all four legs of your chair on the floor,  and keep your eyes on your own paper.

As Halloween came and went this past week it wasn’t entirely uncommon to see people playing games with horror content to it - the most common being a zombie mode of some sort. This weeks On the Download we’ll address themed DLC/downloadable games and how effective they are!

Yes, you read that right.  This is one of those rare occasions, possibly the first and last occasion, that we give you our impressions on a strategy guide.  In this case it is the hardback-bound, 575 page tome that is the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition Guide. 

The sequel to the cult hit Earth Defense Force 2017, Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, is due out in the spring of 2011.  We already brought you the  information that a three player on-line co-op campaign would be available as well as a six player survivor mode.  We now know that local split-screen co-op will be supported as well.

A game that has slipped by our collective co-op radar is one from publisher Square-Enix called Mindjack.  The 3rd person action game's premise has players using the ability to jump between NPC characters by controlling their mind.  A neat gimmick - but there's a catch.  Up to six players can control characters in the game at any time - three for the red side and three for the blue side.  These players will drop-in and drop-out seamlessly via Xbox Live or PlayStation Network for a three player co-op experience.

It was over two months ago that we told you about the free name change feature coming to StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.  That is, the one time free name change that Blizzard was going to offer for those of you like me, that accidently chose the wrong name for your Battle.Net account.  That feature is now live, to activate it you'll need to log into your Battle.Net account via the website and click the link that says FREE Character Name Change.

Microsoft's Kinect launches tomorrow and sadly there's very few co-op titles to play.  But if you are looking to flail around your living room to a classic Sega franchise with a friend on a virtual hoverboard - look no further than Sonic Free Riders.    As Tally previewed in our coverage of the game, there's two modes of co-op play.  In one mode called Tag Racing players can join hands and fuse their boards to get extra speed while racing.  In another mode called Relay, players race in a typical relay like fashion to win the race.
