Holy Oligochaetas! It appears as if the HD remake of one of the greatest Sega Genesis platformers, that's Earthworm Jim, will not only be getting spiffy updated graphics (shown above) but it will be adding a four player co-op mode! The game was delayed from a 2009 release in order to add the co-op mode in.
Well this is a pleasant surprise! After what seemed like ages since we heard anything about the PC and PSN version of Alien Breed Evolution, we not only find out it's getting several improvements and a name change to Alien Breed: Impact, but it's coming out next week - at least on the PC it is!

Splinter Cell Conviction's first set of co-op DLC is out now and it's called Insurgency. The DLC adds four new maps for the game's Deniable Ops modes which can be played solo or the preferred method of co-op. These maps range from San Francisco, to a New Orleans cemetery, a Portland Prison and a hidden research complex in Salt Lake City.
You can leave your poker face at home when Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers heads to Steam this June. Until now, Duels of the Planeswalkers has only been available on the XBLA where it contains a single player, competitive mode, local co-op mode, and two-headed giant team vs. team mode. Unlock colored/themed decks by playing the games campaign either single player or cooperativel, and unlock cards by using those decks.

The 20% off takes it to approximately forty bucks, and Gamestop will also toss in a $20 gaming credit for your next purchase. Alien Breed Evolution released right around the holidays last year in a time where the downloadable title competed with many of the biggest games of the year. As such, it didn't do quite as well as Team 17 had hoped, and despite a solid game - the reviews fell short of expectations. We gave the game a respectable 3.5 out of 5, though there were a few nuances that rubbed us the wrong way. Since then we've been waiting for the PC and PS3 release of the game.

Lara Croft has proven she's got the guns to go off on her own, leaving behind the Tomb Raider name and bringing a buddy for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. We have our impressions of the co-op action/platforming puzzle game staring Lara and Totec, and they'll have to work together to find this new mysterious artifact before those other guys get it.
Gears of War Title Update #6 has been released today and with it comes a horde of changes to the game. We've detailed some of these already - most notably drop-in/drop-out support for Horde mode matches. No longer will you have to wait for a group to die or will the group be forced to restart their Horde mode session. So why wasn't this included from the beginning with Gears 2?
