Gear up for some wacky Nazi-killin'

Wolfenstein: Youngblood Launches Tomorrow With New Release Trailer

That Blazkowicz family is at it again.  Never content knowing that Nazis exist anywhere on the planet, it seems the Blazkowicz's familial goal is to wipe them out as often and as violently as possible.  This time around, BJ's daughters are on a mission to save their missing father, and their tale makes up the campaign of Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

Loot 'em!

Our Weekend In Gaming: If You Can't Beat 'Em

Well folks, it appears my time has come.  No longer can I berate my colleagues about their obsession with shiny number guns, for I have returned to the fold.  If I'm being honest, it's nice here.  Warm, comforting, and nostalgic, like a blanket in your old bedroom at your parents' house.  In fact, if I think about it for a while, it feels like I could just stay here... looting... forever...

Being able to invite friends that aren't online when you are is a pretty big improvement, honestly

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Will Improve Some Squad Functionality

While Monster Hunter: World is the most approachable entry in the long-running series, there were still some issues that made it difficulty to co-op with friends whenever you wanted. As we learned from a recent Game Informer Q&A, you'll still have to wait for friends to watch certain mid-mission cutscenes before you'll be able to join them, but a recent developer diary discussing the forthcoming "Iceborne" expansion highlighted one improvement on the co-op front: inviting offline friends to your "Squad."

Being able to play with friends regardless of platform would REALLY be "happy together"

Borderlands 3 Will Have Cross-Play "As Soon As Practicable," Not At Launch

A new trailer for Gearbox's Borderlands 3 dropped earlier this week. While many speculated/hoped that when the developer teased a "Celebration of Togetherness" on July 16, that they'd be announcing some kind of cross-platform play for the forthcoming loot-shooter. Sadly, that was not the case. Randy Pitchford, CEO for Gearbox, set expectation just ahead of the event by tweeting out that it would not be about cross-play, but that they "are committed to supporting cross-play for Borderlands 3 with our partners as soon as practicable after launch."

SuperMassive Games, best known for  Until Dawn, teamed up with publisher Bandai Namco last year and announced a new anthology of titles that would be in that same "interactive drama horror" genre. The full anthology is referred to as "The Dark Pictures Anthology" and the first of these, Man of Medan, is slated for a release at the end of August, and it was recently revealed that the game will feature two different co-op modes to enjoy with friends.

Those 7 years of development time weren't just spent figuring out how to make Claptrap dab

Borderlands 3 Will Have A Number of Co-Op QoL Improvements

A few weeks ago, we hopped into the "Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary" DLC that was released for Borderlands 2. The DLC acts as a bridge between the end of Borderlands 2 and the forthcoming Borderlands 3. As we played, we noted that while the looting and shooting is still pretty fun, the game definitely feels like a title released seven years ago and hoped there would be some quality-of-life changes for the next entry in the series. Good news, minion! Sounds like there will be.
