According to the Wall Street Journal, the Rock Band Network will launch tomorrow.  I guess the rumors of "Early 2010" should have been "Extremely Early 2010".  Rock Band Network is a service by which any user can create and upload their own music into the Rock Band store.  I'm sure all sorts of smaller bands are anxious to get started with this, but bigger bands like Creed and Evanescence are rumored to make their music available via Rock Band Network.  The official Rock Band forums have a fan-made list of confirmed bands and songs, and it's well worth a look.

Splash Damage has released a new video for their upcoming 8 player co-op title, Brink, this time detailing how the character customization works when you're creating your police force or revolutionary avatar.  This video shows off some more of the brief demo we got at PAX 2009, including a rather brief mention regarding the effect your character's body type dynamic has on their in-game abilities.  Selecting a heavy body type means you can wield heavier guns and take more damage, but you're not as agile as a medium or a light. 

Candella Systems has announced a brand new top down shooter called Eclosion for a multitude of systems including Xbox Live Arcade, PSP, Wii and PC.  The game is a top down shooter with the classic gameplay to follow, and allows two players to team up.

Between learning more about Halo: Reach and still playing Firefight mode with our friends in Halo 3: ODST, we've got a bit of Halo on the brain. The original Army of Two was marketed to the fans of buddy co-op. In 2009 EA Vancouver promised to vastly improve on the original with Army of Two: The 40th Day. We were impressed with our PAX hands-on and community day visit - did the final game hold up?

Things on the music game front have been surprisingly quiet.  We know that Harmonix is working on Green Day: Rock Band, that much is certain.  But that's pretty much it.  Pretty odd when you consider how many upcoming music games we already knew about this time last year.  (Could it be that we've reached the point of saturation?  We have some thoughts on this we'll share with you soon.)  Rumors about two more music games are swirling; one of them is confirmed, while the other isn't as substantial.

The game has been talked about for sometime, but really, we haven't heard anything concrete on the upcoming Ninety-Nine Nights II from Konami.  The official website has been updated with a release window, telling Japan they can experience all the hack and slash their heart desires this spring.

When disaster strikes, a lot of us feel like we should help but aren't sure how. After the earthquake that has devastated Haiti, Bungie has stepped up to let you and your friends be heroes simply by gaming. Join up with others in Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST in one of the largest co-op gaming efforts we've seen. Play Firefight, versus, or any other online Halo 3 or ODST custom or matchmaking game online.

There certainly is a lot of buzz in the RPG world right now between the recently released (and co-opable to a degree) Demon's Souls, and the upcoming (but with no co-op option, sadly) Final Fantasy XIII.  One title that may be slipping through a lot of RPG gamers' radars, though, is White Knight Chronicles.  We've previously covered how the battle system works, and what all is included in the online portion of the game, but today we've got a video from Sony that goes into much greater detail about what players can expect from that online portion.  Check it out after the break.

Last year during our PAX 2009 coverage, we showed you Darksiders, a Zelda like game that was supposed to contain the four horsemen of the apocalypse.  The original concept would have been cooperative, but early on in the development Vigil Entertainment decided to focus only on one of these characters and a single player experience.

Three more co-op titles have landed on the XBox 360's Platinum Hits list: Fable 2, Gears of War, and Halo Wars.  While we weren't too keen about the way co-op was handled in Fable 2, it was still a fun game in its own right and there may be some potential for a "save file tie-in" between Fable 2 and Fable 3.  Halo Wars provides a very solid co-op RTS experience on the 360, with each player controlling their own troops but sharing the resources as they fight off the Covenant forces.  As for Gears of War, it offers the same co-op experience as its successor, with a few great moments of its own.  Each of these titles costs $29.99 so now may be a good time to use some of those lingering gift cards you got from Christmas.

There's an apparent epidemic of people dying by cubes.  If the latest screenshots for Square-Enix's twin stick shooter, Death by Cube,  are anything to go by we're all doomed.
