The PC version of Sacred 2 may have a 16 player co-op mode, and a 4 player co-op story mode - but that doesn't necessarily mean at your next LAN party you'll need 16 copies.

Gears mania has definitely hit here at Co-Optimus, but GoW2 certainly wasn't the only huge release of the week.  AAA title Resistance 2 debuted this past Tuesday, and IGN's review is already up.  You'll recall the game features an 8-player co-op mode, which is above and beyond most games of this type.

In 5 short hours the Locust horde will be unleashed onto the world in Gears of War 2 for the Xbox 360.  Soon you and a buddy will be side by side, knee deep in the chunks of Locust flesh in the game's two player co-op mode.  Or perhaps there will be 5 of you, fighting a seemingly endless wave of baddies in Horde mode.  Whatever your fancy is with Gears of War, it's best played in Co-Op!

Hours before everyone will get their soon to be bloody hands on Gears of War 2, we are going to be broadcasting LIVE co-op play from Epic's latest game on UStream.TV.

Call of Duty: World at War launches next week for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in all it's 4 player co-op glory.  And that includes unlockable zombie apocalypse mode.  Just to recap how awesome this game is, I've broken it down into simple components.

November 4 has come and gone, and yet, the free twenty song Rock Band 2 DLC hasn't been made available yet.  Rock Band 2 has been out a couple of months now; perhaps you've beaten World Tour mode, and are looking for more cool stuff to play beyond the weekly DLC offerings.  So what's with the delay?  Harmonix community manager Sean Baptiste gives you the 411:

What does John DiMaggio, Zachary Levi, Luke Walton, Aisha Tyler and Lester "Terry Tate" Speight all have in common?  They're all pimpin Gears of War 2 on the Sci-Fi channel!  In the latest short in the Sci vs Fi series, the game's team and several hollywood personalities weigh in on the biggest sequel to hit consoles this year.  Sadly, none of them mention the cooperative experience.  

It looks like Microsoft might need to find a new packaging and distribution company.  Much like Fable 2 before it, it appears as though the bonus codes for downloadable content that was supposed to be included with Gears of War 2 are missing for some folks.  According to some posts on the official Epic Forums, people with copies in hand are already seeing this problem.  While the game doesn't officially hit the retail streets until tonight, a lot of folks have managed to get a copy early via a certain online retailers as well as a certain Slushi selling mini-mart.

Well, after a two week hiatus, This Week in Co-Op is back. Since Gears of War 2 has been quite the popular game recently, I decided to play the original Gears of War. Gears 2 has received pretty good reviews, much like it's predecessor. Also, (unsurprisingly) Gears of War 2 is much like it's predecessor as far as gameplay goes, though there are some fun additions (Horde Mode, enough said). So, with all this in mind, I decided to play the original Gears of War in order to see why Gears 2 has captured my attention so much.
