Polish your shears and rev up those watering cans, cause Stardew Valley's four player online co-op mode is getting an official PC release on August 1st! No longer must you cultivate barren fields into bountiful gardens all by your lonesome. In just one week, you can rope up to three unsuspecting online friends into helping you accomplish said cultivation.
Drinkbox Studios is almost ready for everyone to enjoy their action-platformer/"Metroidvania" title, Guacamelee! 2. This sequel (and the developer) promises a whole lot more of everything. A bigger world to explore, more moves to unlock/refine/use, and more secrets to uncover. There's even an entire secret "Pollovania" area, for all you chicken lovers out there.
Moods must be too high around the office, because a couple members of the Co-Opticrew are dipping into the the latest and greatest in Futuristic Misery Simulators. Part of me hopes that they'll return with tales of honor and glory, but realistically, I know their stories will mostly revolve around dying messily on a forgotten planet for the glory of the Emperor. We should all be so lucky.
Far Cry 5 is right in the middle of its release schedule for a trio of post-launch DLC packs. June brought with it the Vietnam-focused "Hours of Darkness" expansion, and August will mark the release of the not-quite-alive-but-sort-of "Dead Living Zombies". At the moment, though, the latest DLC to come out for Ubisoft's sandbox FPS is "Lost on Mars", which takes Nick Rye and Hurk to the titular red planet as they attempt to fend off an alien invasion.
A few months back, Sean Murray and Hello Games that they were working on an update for their exploration/crafting/building/adventure game, No Man's Sky, titled "NEXT." This update would be a little bit different than the previous three ("Foundation," "Path Finder," and "Atlas Rises"), as each of those added new content and new activities. "NEXT," on the other hand, will add something we're very excited about: co-op.
After the success of the initial release, Sonic Mania is receiving some new life with the Plus DLC, as well as a physical release, today. In the newest developer diary, the team talks about giving the Encore mode new life using existing assets, and designing characters that fit into the game world both with their aesthetic and their movements.

Some sad news for folks who were looking forward to crafting weapons with friends in MOTHERGUNSHIP next week. While we knew that online co-op would be delayed in the console versions by a month, it seemed like the PC version would launch with it. Unfortunately, it will be delayed there, too, until August.
It's been a year almost to the day since we last checked out Space Hulk: Deathwing. At that time, the game had received just a few of the updates that would eventually be bundled together in the "Enhanced Edition." That version was released this past May for PC and PlayStation 4 so we decided to hop back in and see how things were looking these days in the grim dark future (aka 2019).
Last year, Batterystaple Games brought their vision of a "modern Mega Man X" game to life with 20XX on the PC. Today, that vision is getting some new life as it makes its way onto the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and tomorrow on the Xbox One.
Monster Hunter: World has brought more people into the beloved franchise than any other iteration thus far. And that's just been on the consoles. PC players have been waiting to get their hands on the game and they won't have much longer to wait. Monster Hunter: World will officially launch on PC on August 9, 2018.
