We heard that there would be an Open Beta for The Crew 2 heading our way soon, and today Ubisoft revealed when it will arrive. You can get your hands on The Crew 2 starting next Thursday, June 21 and it will wrap up on Monday, June 25.
At today's Ubisoft Press Conference, Massive Entertainment revealed more details about Tom Clancy's The Division 2. Particularly, the development team discussed how they focused on the way players progress as they play and the activities that await them when they get to the coveted "endgame." At launch, The Division 2 will include an eight-man raid.
Bethesda had a lot to talk about during their press conference last night. From Rage 2, to a tease of a new DOOM game (DOOM Eternal), to their new IP (Starfield), the Maryland-based company has a lot going on. There wasn't much, unfortunately, in the way of co-op (Fallout: 76 appears to be a PvPvE survival with an emphasis on the PvP part thanks to in-game nukes), but MachineGames did have a pleasant surprise. Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be a two player co-op adventure!
Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference wrapped up just a few hours ago, and there were some exciting things announced, like a new Halo title, Dying Light 2, and Gears 5. While Microsoft Studios is making the right moves towards "hey, come check out our excellent console," it was a bit disappointing that they didn't have more to say about what they were showing.
It's unfortunate, but Crackdown 3 has been delayed until 2019 - moving it out of this fall as originally planned. The game was originally slated to launch alongside the Xbox One X last year, but has seen troubled development. If the latest screens and videos are any indication though - the third game in this cult classic franchise might be worth the wait.
As predicted, Microsoft have announced two new Gears of War games coming out in the next few years. While the other one, Gears of War Tactics is a PC exclusive strategy game similar to XCOM, Gears 5 is the PC and Xbox One title that continues the series 3rd person action.
The one game that got the most focus/stage-time during this year's EA press conference was BioWare's forthcoming action-RPG title, Anthem. While they brought a handful of the development team on-stage to talk about the game and what players can expect, I'll admit, it was a little disappointing that more wasn't shown/discussed. The latest installment in Ubisoft’s popular Far Cry series has a teaser trailer showing off the new Hours of Darkness DLC that has been recently released. While the video shows off very little, the description on Ubisoft’s official YouTube gives the insight that players can expect to “Escape from behind enemy lines in war-torn Vietnam and get your squad to the extraction zone!”.
As The Crew 2 gets ready to release later this month, the steady stream of gameplay details and videos continue. The guys at Outside Xtra captured some of their time in the recent closed beta, so enjoy nineteen minutes of uninterrupted co-op gameplay that starts with driving in a car, transitions into an airplane, and finishes by taking the role of the worst-suited vehicle for a land race; a boat.
IO Interactive announced yesterday that everyone's favorite silent assassin (if you're doing it right), Agent 47, will be returning in a brand new "world of assassination" in Hitman 2. This is a direct sequel to the episodic and extraordinarily fun quasi-reboot of Hitman that dropped in 2016. What's particularly exciting this time around is that a new co-op mode, called "Sniper Assassin," has been added, and it's available to play right now.
