Sure, Bandai Nacmo is bringing a remastered version of Dark Souls to consoles and PC this Spring, but that doesn't mean they can't also bring their own take on it to those platforms. The developer announced earlier this week that CODE VEIN, an action RPG that's designed by the same team that worked on the GOD EATER series, will support online co-op for two people when it launches sometime this year.
Humanoid rats beware, there's about to be a new extermination simulator in town, and this time, it ain't content to just fend off your ravenous hordes. Yes sir, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will also be stickin' it to Ye Olde Chaos Warriors, who are decidedly bigger and less cowardly than their ratkin compatriots.
Some of the Co-Opticrew (everyone that isn't me) seem to be chugging along quite nicely in their Monster Hunter: World experience, while others (literally just me) can't seem to handle a certain fire-breathing dinosaur who is very much a trash creature with no redeeming qualities. Either way, most of our plans revolve around exploring and surviving the "New World".
If you missed out on the Metal Gear Survive beta last month, good news! You'll have another chance to check out the game's co-op mode for the next few days before its full release on the 20th. Another open beta kicks off today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, and will run until Sunday, February 18.
Look, for most people reading this article, Far Cry 5 will largely be a two-player experience. You'll be spending a majority of your time with an online pal wreaking havoc on rural Montana, but what's a freedom fighter to do when their partner of choice isn't available? Easy - call up your friendly neighborhood AI.
Ghost Ship Games' Deep Rock Galactic bounced around in a variety of alpha and beta tests last year, and while the title may not be at the "final version" stage, it will be available for all to play starting on February 28. It will be entering Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview simultaneously on that day, so you can pick it up and play on your platform of choice.
Fatshark announced via a Twitch live stream yesterday that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - the follow-up to their successful FPS loot game based in the Warhammer universe - will be arriving on the PC next month. Sharpen your blades, load your muskets, and ready your bows, for Chaos is coming...
Season Three for Ubisoft's Rainbow 6 Siege kicks off next month with Operation Chimera and the limited-time co-op event, Outbreak. Before all of that happens, though, you'll have a chance to hop into the game for free and see what's what if you're so inclined.
The PlayStation VR Co-Op zombie-killing title, Arizona Sunshine, will get a physical release (Europe only) on March 21st, 2018. The game has been out only digitally since 2016, but with this new format, more people can jump into this extremely violent to zombies - yet very Co-Op friendly - title. Unfortunately, at the time of writing no price is currently known.
Last week, GUTS Entertainment's stylish action/tower defense title, Aegis Defenders, dropped on PlayStation 4, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. We spent a little time showing it off this past Monday evening during our regular Monday night "Let's Play Co-Op" streams, and I can safely say, this is one of the most interesting and visually captivating local co-op titles I've played this year.
Piece of Cake Studio's stealth action title, Hacktag, is officially out today on Steam. The game has been in some version of alpha/beta/Early Access since last year, but today it officially leaves all that behind and enters the world as a full version release!
While most folks think of hearts, cards, and chalky candy when they think of February 14, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo think of DLC for Fire Emblem Warriors. The second bit of content drops today for the Dynasty Warriors take on the traditionally RTS series and adds some new weapons, costumes, and skills for a variety of characters, as well as new maps for the game's History Mode.
