There are many types of co-op from the sublime to the ridiculous. We like a Horde mode, but the very best co-op is when you can play a game together - all the game. This is exactly what Far Cry 5 is setting out to do and the new trailer highlights some of the fun you and a pal are going to have (well as much fun as you can have when going up against a cult).
War Thunder and its many, many combat vehicles have long been a major force in the PC and PlayStation 4 market, but the game has been (somewhat curiously) unavailable for the Xbox One. Finally, though, developer Gaijin Entertainment has reached an agreement with Microsoft to bring the game to their flagship console.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly 10 years since we looked around the Internet and said, “You know what? This place could really use a website dedicated only to co-op gaming!” We’ve got some exciting things in store to mark the occasion this January, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
Well, it was bound to happen. Destiny 2 was released on PC this week, so naturally, the Co-Opticrew couldn't resist the chance to dive back in for a little keyboard'n'mouse loot shooting. Autobanning issues aside, the game seems to be pretty fantastic on the home computer. It won't have that sweet, sweet Playstation-exclusive content (at least for a while), but maybe it's worth it if you're allergic to auto-aim.
If there's a new console on the market, you can almost guarantee that the folks at Overkill Software are already hard at work porting a version of PAYDAY 2 to it. The Nintendo Switch is no different, and, as announced during April's Nintendo Direct, the first person heisting experience is on its way to the console this winter.
It's been out for a month on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and just this week, Bungie's first-person loot shooter, Destiny 2, made its way onto the PC. Locke, Mike, and Jason decided to take it for a spin and share their thoughts on the game overall, as well as this specific version.
To this day, the one twin-stick shooter I still occasionally go back to and play again is Witch Beam's Assault Android Cactus. There is so much depth to the gameplay that every time I pick it up, I feel like I learn something new; and playing through it with a buddy (or three) makes it even better. So, head's up Xbox One owners, it'...
If you've been looking for a new Left 4 Dead style title, then you may be interested in Deep Rock Galactic. You and up to three co-op buddies play as dwarves that are out to mine planets and fight off bugs. There are different classes and character progression mechanics that make for a pretty interesting/solid co-op FPS.
So it was that with a forum post notification of the update being available, Gearbox's Battleborn came to an end, of a sorts. The servers are still up and running, and will continue that way for at least the "foreseeable future," but content development has ended and there won't be any further balance patches.
Towards the latter half of Destiny's lifespan, seasonal events, like the Halloween-themed "Festival of the Lost" or the winter-themed "The Dawning," started popping up. At this past weekend's TwitchCon, Bungie said that one of the improvements they have planned for Destiny 2 is to have four clearly defined seasons within the game and that each season will bring with it tweaks/improvements, and new loot.
It's another big week for video game releases. Assassin's Creed Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are both out this Friday, and promise to be packed full of gaming goodness. However, we're really all here for the co-op, right?! Destiny 2 makes its way to the PC (finally), Super Mario Odyssey ...
Back in September, Atlus announced that Dragon's Crown (the beat-em-up-meets-RPG originally released four years ago) would be coming to PS4 as Dragon's Crown Pro. The Japanese release date was originally announced for January 25th, but has now been delayed two weeks to February 8th. There's still no word regarding the int...
