Normally, kids should absolutely dread going to summer school. In this circumstance, however, Valve has taken that notion and thrown it completely out the window, promoting their new education portal, “Steam for Schools”, with the help of Portal 2 this summer.
We recently reviewed Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion where we found it to be a strategy game of epic proportions. The scope of the game is huge and this feeling has been captured by a fan of the series, Mr. FujiKicker who has made his own rendition of a Sins Rebellion trailer - titled 'Epica'.

When Eric and I were deciding on a game to play for TWIC we ran through a plethora of titles that would work just fine but outside forces stopped us from finding that perfect title. One of us would not own a game the other chose, or when we did own the game it would be on the wrong platform. For whatever reason; call it luck, destiny, or predetermination, fate would conspire to finally find the game that we were to play together.

Saints Row: The Third's giant, super-powered DLC that was expected to come out later this year has been gobbled up by Saints Row 4. "Enter the Dominatrix" will now be a part of the next installment of the franchise, which is due to come out in 2013.
Did you hear that the new Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor game came out? The mech simulator has picked up some pretty harsh reviews. I'm eight missions into the game after one evening, and apparently that makes me the Crown Prince of Gamer Masochism. I can say, without a doubt, it's the best motion controlled mech game I have ever played.
