We've been keeping tabs on Grim Dawn for quite some time now. The open-world Action/RPG is being developed by Crate Entertainment, which itself is made up of former members of Iron Lore. That's the team that brought us 2006's spectacular Titan Quest.
There is something quite Stat-tacular when a game series reaches a certain maturity. The Halo franchise recently created an infographic showing how many times the game has been played over the years and now it is the turn of the Uncharted series. The franchise has been co-op since the second game and with over 15 million games sold, let’s hope for more. Details are still scarce about Ska Studios' upcoming Xbox Live Arcade exclusive, Charlie Murder. We know it's a four player beat-em-up with RPG elements, which creator James Silva has coined as a brawl-PG. I'm fond of RPG-eat-em-up, myself. Anyway, the game revolves around the members of a band called Charlie Murder setting out to stop the evil band Gore Quaffer and its monstrous minions from doing bad things. That's still a bit vague, but three new screenshots (plus a brief video from PAX East) give us a better idea of what to expect.
The upcoming Call of Duty sequel, scheduled to be officially announced on May 1 and is most likely going to be the next Black Ops game, might be featuring in a near-future setting instead of a 1970's-1980's one.
Serious Sam 3: BFE is now available for Mac users. 16 players can fill the screen as you battle screaming, headless, kamikaze warriors and other bizarre alien beasts. Yup. That's 16 player online co-op. You can even play locally via four player split screen co-op. The Serious Sam franchise may not be fancy, but it gets the job done. It's a can't miss if you're into old-school first person shooters. I even got it running on my stock laptop, so you know the system requirements won't beat down your machine. It earned a 4 out of 5 in our Co-Op Review.
Remember a few weeks ago we talked about the Alice in Wonderland costume DLC for LittleBigPlanet 2? This week, we have a few costumes being release that are more involved with PlayStation gaming.
Before I get too far into this review, I want to put out a disclaimer of sorts. I am not a huge South Park fan. I've watched only a handful of episodes in the many years the show has been around. That said, this is a video game review, and I certainly enjoyed the South Park tower defense game quite a bit, so I did my best to approach it with an open mind. Coming from a non-fan's perspective, I believe Tenorman's Revenge is below average at best.

Did everyone get to play the Diablo 3 public beta last weekend? Good times, if you could get into a game. Those servers were packed! Oh well, that's the nature of a stress test. I only had time to play with one class, so I suited up a Barbarian. After seeing these two guys in action, I feel like I missed out. The Monk and the Witch Doctor both have some very cool skill sets.
Call me a computer game geek, but I do like to look at concept art. So much imagination and skill is put into designs that may never see the light of day, you have to appreciate the effort. Frozenbyte Games have proven with earlier images for Trine 2 that they can create stunning art and the upcoming DLC for the game looks to be no different. A new video highlights some of the concept art and the role it plays in creating a game. The DLC is planned for release on XBLA, PSN and PC later in the year.
I have no doubt in my mind that the widely praised platformer title, Rayman Origins, will be getting a well deserved sequel in the future. From a few screenshots taken from a marketing survey, the type of game the sequel will be like has seeming been hinted at. So far, it looks like it involves a vast world including Greek gods and dragons, both of which are equally viable in a formula for “awesome”.
We have a new cinematic story trailer for Torchlight 2 today. It features a lady hero, a dude hero, and a lot of the color brown, which is odd. Both Torchlight games are very colorful, and you would think developer Runic Games wouldn't hide that fact. Even though the video has a dull muted color it's full of action. If is looks a little Shank-esque, that's because the folks over at Klei Entertainment lent a hand. Check it out and give us your two cents.
