I love eating candy and playing as a pirate - Graveyards, not so much. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will most definitely have co-op DLC.  A recent Kotaku article touched on the early months of the premiere military shooter's dizzying DLC release schedule.  Two new multiplayer maps will be available at the end of this month for Xbox 360 CoD Elite subscribers.  These maps will be playable in versus multiplayer modes as well as cooperatively in the Spec-Ops Survival Mode.  

Double Fine's excellent Iron Brigade is getting some stellar DLC.  "Rise of the Martian Bear" will take the fight to the Red Planet, where players will be challenged with new enemy designs and levels.   The video also gives us a quick glimpse of some new stylish paint jobs for your mobile Trench, as well as fresh outfits for your soldier.

We're a little over a month away from the release of a game that's certainly one of my most (hesitantly) anticipated co-op games of the year, Starbreeze's FPS remake of Syndicate. When I first heard about one of my favorite RPG, RTS hybrid games for the PC getting a new release, I was rather hesitant about the change to a FPS format. Then the game footage started making the rounds and I was a little more encouraged. The co-op aspect, though, is one that still leaves me wondering a bit about how well it will actuall work within the game's seemingly "twitch" framework. Fortunately for all of us, we'll be able to test it out soon enough.

A bit over a month ago, we told you guys about the upcoming stand-alone expansion for Shogun 2, entitled Fall of the Samurai. Now we have some word about some preorder bonuses for said game. Whether you preorder online from Steam or the SEGA Store or preorder a boxed copy anywhere else, you'll receive one of three exclusive preorder faction packs. Steam will get you the Tsu Faction Pack and the game's soundtrack while the SEGA Store will net you the Obama Faction Pack (and no, I don't mean you can send batallions of the president's clones into battle). If you don't like digital versions, preordering a boxed copy from another retailer will grant you access to the Saga Faction Pack as well as grant you a double-sided poster. Sony is kicking off a PSN promotion to start 2012 with 30% off numerous downloadable titles for normal members and 50% off the same titles if you have PlayStation Plus.  There's lots of great games on sale both single player and co-op like Dungeon Defenders, PayDay, and Rochard.  Here's what's on sale with the co-op games linked for reference.

This will probably be the last time we post a story like this, because expect it to be the norm.   That is, future digital EA releases on the PC will only be available via Origin for download and most likely, retail versions of the game will also require you install Origin to have them run.  Origin is EA's online service for its PC games.  Mass Effect 3, with its four player online co-op mode, will be the next game from EA to follow this sort of DRM method.

Remember Ruin, the Playstation 3 and Vita action-RPG that will support cross-platform play? It turns out 'Ruin' was only a working title. Sony has now settled on the mildly more descriptive monicker Warrior's Lair.
