The next game in the PixelJunk series from Q-Games is right around the corner, titles PixelJunk SideScroller the two player co-op game has its roots in shoot em ups from days gone by like R-Type, Raiden, and others. The PSN exclusive game is out on October 25th though a price wasn't given.
It seems that after numerous delays, the release of Dungeon Defenders during this crowded holiday gaming season actually worked out a-ok. A good chunk of the staff will be heading into the action/tower defense hybrid. Some of the staff still seems stuck on playing tortur...I mean Dark Souls as well. It's ok - they probably deserve it.
Space Marine's free co-op DLC is out on October 25th, that's next week for those of you without calendars. To date, details have been pretty scarce on just exactly what the four co-op mode would entail - but now a new three minute video showcasing gameplay has let out all the details.
Darkspore, the four player co-op Action/RPG that combines body augmentation with loot collecting, is on sale this week on EA's Origin service. The cost? Just $8 nets you a ticket into the action. Just use coupon code ORIGIN60 (must be redeemed via the Origin client) and you'll be on your way to a game that scored a 4.5 out of 5 in our review.

Over the last three weeks or so two shooter beta programs have been launched and closed. Here are my personal impressions of the Battlefield 3 open beta (Xbox 360 version) and the Ghost Recon Online closed beta (PC).
The king of dance games is back, this time with more songs and two-player local co-op. If you thought dancing by yourself was fun, wait till a partner joins in on the action.
Launch trailers are all the rage these days, it's a publisher one final attempt to make you say - "Man...I probably should pre-order this." EA has just put out their launch trailer for Battlefield 3 and I think it serves its purpose quite well. We've got drama, we've got emotion, we've got tension, and we've got plenty of explosions and guitar riffs. Cha-Ching.
Next week's co-op juggernaut, Battlefield 3, will have a surprise in every box - a code that can be redeemed to download the Mass Effect 3 co-op demo. The demo code in Battlefield 3 is part of the online pass program for that game from EA - so it's something you'll be doing anyway if you planned on playing the game's online co-op or versus modes.

Dungeon Defenders has been kick'n it on the mobile scene for a while now. We all knew it was only a matter of time before Trendy Entertainment's tower defense/hack and slash/lootopia would launch on the the big boy platforms. It finally happened yesterday. A second Gears of War 3 add-on has been announced. Titled "RAAM's Shadow," it's a prequel to the original Gears of War. Everyone likes prequels, right? Ahem.
