Fresh previews of id's shooter/RPG RAGE have hit the internet today - and so far the impressions seem positive. None of the previews cover the co-op aspect of the game, but they do give you a good idea of what to expect from the title when it's released on October 4th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
We last saw Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet at PAX East back in March. Our editor was quite impressed with the title, with a unique art style from Michel Gagne, but only got a glimmer of what the co-op mode would entail. With the game out tomorrow, the reviews have started to hit the net, and with it details on the cooperative aspect.
Gears of War 3 is out in a little over a month. Soon we'll be playing through the game's four player co-op campaign with Marcus, Dom and friends kicking some locust butt. We'll also be able to play through the game's revamped Horde mode, one that adds strategy to the mix along with its normal action.
During E3 2006 I remember a standout video of a game called Eight Days. The video took place at a desert diner and featured a gang related shootout between two cops and some thugs. What made it stand out? A slick cover system, smooth animations, and a some tense action sequences. Sadly the Sony London developed game was canceled before it saw the light of day.

I'll be honest - I've been hounding THQ PR for months now trying to get any kind of details out of them on Warhammer 40K: Space Marine and its co-op mode. The game is a ltitle more than a month away and we've still not heard a peep about its cooperative offerings, and honestly, that makes me nervous. Now it seems a Gamestop Pre-Order promotion for the title may have leaked a few details regarding co-op.
July was a fairly quiet month for co-op gamers. We only saw a handful or releases - the only AAA titles being Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon and Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Outside of that things were calm, news was mostly straight forward.
