Over the weekend, it appears Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe sunsetted the servers for the 2012 PlayStation 3 title, Starhawk. A note has been added to all European PS Store listings for the game that basically says "you can no longer play this online." There's been no official statement about whether this is getting applied to all regions or not, so for now, this appears to only be affecting the one region.
Starhawk, the "build and battle" third-person shooter, is about to become much more accessible. The space western will be available for digital download on the PSN tomorrow. There will even be three ways to buy the game: The full title can be purchased for $39.99, the multiplayer portion of the game is priced at $19.99, and PlayStation Plus Members will be able to download the single player campaign for free.
One of the biggest issues with console gaming is that when you are out of the house you are no longer gaming! Starhawk fans can now live the experience of the game 24/7 with the new Uplink Mobile app for iOS and Android that will have them plugged into the community at all times.

LightBox Interactive's president, Dylan Jobe, gives Morgan Webb the rundown on some of the third-person shooter's co-op features, which include randomized waves of enemies, rift energy, reclaiming structures, player skills, as well as the build and battle system.
If you were wondering what split screen would look like in Starhawk, there you have it. LightBox Interactive will be making the most out of their precious split screen real estate while trying to decrease the stretch of their aspect ratio. After playing the beta, I have to say that a full mini-map is a welcome sight. Anything would be better than the vaccuum of black space I've seen in other split screen layouts. I'm looking at you, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Fear 3, Lost Planet 2, and Resident Evil 5; the list goes on.

The "limited edition" of Starhawk has been announced, and rather than spend extra money on a giant box filled with art books, soundtracks, and statues - you'll be getting a whole bunch of digital pack ins for the same price as the normal version. The biggest piece of content included for co-op players is a map called Maw of Despair, which is a particularly challenging cooperative mission for four players.
