The promise of HD lightgun shooters on the PlayStation 3 excites us - after all these games are some of the oldest co-op games. Today we have a review of Time Crisis Razing Storm - a pack of three light gun shooter games for the PlayStation Move. We also look at the Shooting Attachment!

If you were planning on picking up the upcoming Time Crisis: Razing Storm on the PlayStation 3 later this month, hoping to have a solid on rails shooter co-op experience with your buddy and some PlayStation Moves, the deal just got a whole lot sweeter.  Not only will Razing Storm be in the box, but Time Crisis 4 Arcade and Deadstorm Pirates will be included int the package as well.   This marks the first time that Deadstorm Pirates is even seeing a console release.

Light gun shooters may be one of the most memorable and unique forms of co-op games out there.  Everyone has their favorites whether it's Time Crisis, House of the Dead or Virtua Cop.  Time Crisis came out in 1995 and instantly became an arcade hit thanks to its unique cover mechanic.  

We already know that the PlayStation Move-enabled Time Crisis: Razing Storm will include two additional co-op shooter games, will support the GunCon 3, and will feature drop-in/drop-out for two players in shared screen format. The PlayStation Blog staff got some hands-on time with the game and reported a few extra tidbits.

Lightgun shooters are having a bit of a renaissance due to the pointer capabilties of the Wii controller.  The Playstation Move controller now brings lightgun shooters to your living room in glorious high-def.  One of the first comes from the venerable Time Crisis franchise.  Time Crisis: Razing Storm  is the latest iteration of the series in arcades, and is coming to the Playstation 3 this fall.

My family and I have been on vacation for just over a week now.  We've traveled from our home in Missouri to Florida, with a stop in Georgia in between.  Though I love my Nintendo DS, it just doesn't take the place of a 360 or PS3, or any game on a big screen.  So, to keep the gamer itch scratched while on the road, we've tried to hit every arcade we saw.  For Co-Op Casual Friday today, we'll take a look at the best and the worst of the games we played.  Naturally, they all feature co-op! Our first arcade was at one of those mega truck stops you see on interstate highways.  We needed gas, and there was a Wendy's next door (I have a weakness for Double Stacks), so we pulled in and took a break.  Besides a really big aquarium filled with all sorts of colorful fish, they had an arcade!  Quickly, we dashed inside, sure that the neon "games" sign meant some co-op joy was in store.  How wrong we were!  There was a crane game, an air hockey table, a battered and faded Ms. Pac -man, and only one co-op game at all.  Invasion, it was rather unimaginatively named, and after watching the attract mode, we decided to pass on even playing it.  Generic cabinet, nondescript title, and "meh" graphics all added up to a big pass.
