You know which classic game deserves a modern sequel? Zombies Ate My Neighbors, a beloved horror-themed top-down shooter that is currently owned by Disney. A new sequel is super unlikely, but a spiritual successor is on the horizon. indie developer Curse Free Studios announced Demons Ate My Neighbors! years ago, and now it seems like they're making some progress. A mobile game will come out early next year, and the main game is still in development.

Preorder Limited Run Switch Games at Best Buy: TMNT, Double Dragon, and More

Digital games are more convenient than physical games, and usually cheaper too. Still, there's something about collecting physical games that appeals to many gamers. Preordering limited physical editions directly from boutique labels is always an option, but sometimes retailers offer the same editions for a better price. That's certainly the case with Best Buy, which currently has 14 Nintendo Switch titles from Limited Run up for preorder, including TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Double Dragon Neon, and several more co-op hits.

Co-Op Classics 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghouls Patrol' Return on Consoles and PC

Zombies Ate My Neighbors Goes Hollywood

We've all heard of movies based on video games; Resident Evil and Prince of Persia are two recent examples, and of course there are the Halo rumors, too.  But the next big video game movie might not be inspired by relatively new games.  Apparently, a script based on SNES/Genesis era classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors is being shopped around.  It's described as "Superbad plus Zombieland plus Home Alone" which actually sounds like a pretty good movie, once you think about it.
