Magicka is a light hearted four player co-op game about casting spells and working together for the PC. It's being developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and Published by Paradox Interactive. We sat down with the game's producer, Shams Jorjani to talk about the title - which is coming out next year.
It's time again for another Xbox Live Co-Op Night. This month's featured game is the recently released Fable 3! We'll be headed into the world of Albion for some good old fashioned questing, slaying, loot collecting, and sexing...yes sexing. After all - love and marriage is a big part of Fable 3.
Slam Bolt Scrappers is an interesting title coming early 2011 for the Playstation Network. We've been covering the game for it's 4 player co-op and hybrid brawler/puzzle game elements. Beyblade: Metal Fusion - Battle Fortress is releasing tomorrow for the Nintendo Wii. After feverish research I have found that a Beyblade is not, in fact, a mythical blade used to smite movies, endowing them with 100% more explosions but with 1000% less awesome. That's the Bay-Blade, and that's something entirely different. Beyblades are "highly powerful spinning tops... which are enchanted with magical spirits." I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that they just might be Japanese in origin.
Get ready to battle the League of Evil Exes! To coincide with the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the film on November 9th, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is half off. We really liked this brawler when it came out a little over two months ago, giving it a co-op score of 4 out of 5 in our review. Normally 800 Microsoft Points, Scott Pilgrim is now available for 400 MSP. That's five dollars in real money!
While lost in the Texas tundra this weekend, my mind wandered to Black, an old favorite shooter game that was ahead of its time in some ways. My train of thought barreled into Bodycount - Codemasters' forthcoming follow-up game - and coincidentally the weekend headlines have revealed that the co-op bullet orgy has been delayed.
The classic co-op PC RPG Icewind Dale 2 has now become that much easier to find and play. Good Old Games have added the 6 player co-op game to their library of titles. Setting you back $10 you'll get Icewind Dale 2, Icewind Dale 2 Adventure Pack, The Soundtrack, HD Wallpapers, and lots more.

Most of the time, things we experience don't live up to the hype. I am happy to report to you, with great confidence, that this week's Co-Op Classic, Ninja Baseball Bat Man, is not this way; it's every bit as good as it's stellar reputation.
A demo has been released for Apache Air Assault on Xbox Live. It weighs in at around 900MB and features two missions and a training section. Sadly the game's local co-op mode of play isn't on display - where one player controls the helicopter while the other is the gunner. Apache Air Assault is from developer Gaijin Entertainment, who created the famous PC game IL-2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey. The good news is you can play Apache Air Assault as either a sim or an arcade style game with more forgiving controls.
