Konami has just confirmed more of its music lineup for Def Jam Rapstar, one of the many co-op music games coming out this fall. Unlike other titles, Def Jam Rapstar looks to provide something different than just a "band" experience by allowing players to not only create music, share it, and play with friends - but it also covers a unique genre that's been largely untouched to this point. In case you missed it, we went hands on with the title during E3.
It's a prequel ten years in the making, Halo Reach is Bungie's final game in the series. Packed with features and options, as well as full match making support for co-op, we'll learn the events of Noble squad as Reach falls to the Covenant invasion. It's our review of this fall's biggest game.
The Playstation was a rousing success, elevating Sony to the status of a major player in the video game industry. Sony has maintained that strong position through two more hardware generations, as you can tell from the long list of PS2 and PS3 co-op games in our database.
Alliance of Valiant Arms added their new co-op mode and features in the latest update on September 9th. If you need to know the goods on it, we had a preview of it here. In addition to that coverage we have a brand new trailer showcasing the mode, which you can see below.

Bungie's final pre-Halo: Reach weekly update gives us two impressive looks at the co-op campaign and Firefight (2.0). Firefight is played by senior designer Lars Bakken, sandbox designers Sage Merill and Josh Hamrick, and mission designer Mike Tippewulf.
Welcome to Beyond Co-Op, a weekly piece that talks about industry stories that may or may not be related to co-op gaming.
Ummm....Halo Reach? Yeah - it's coming out next week. Perhaps you heard of it? Oh, you did? Good. Everybody on the staff is itching to get their hands on it. It's worse than that time you wanted Voltron for Christmas in 86, and you were just laying in your bed the night before wondering what it'd be like to run around the house yelling "and I'll form the body and head!" Yeah, worse than that. It's bad.
Back in 2009, Gameloft released a little game for the iPhone called Dungeon Hunter. It was a Diablo-inspired hack-and-slash where you leveled and built up a character. Now Gameloft plans on launching it in HD exclusively for PlayStation Network - and this time with 4-player online and offline co-op! An HD-overhaul goes beyond a visual face-lift, taking the opportunity to bring in a new art-style as well. No word yet on pricing, nor is there a trailer available yet. But there are some delicious screenshots (mmm, screenshots!). We'll keep you posted!
