Hi-Rez Studios has added another limited time co-op event for SMITE, the mythical gods battling simulator. While the core of the game is a 5v5 MOBA-style title, you can battle against bots with friends and, occasionally, the developers feature some other ways to co-op via special events called "Adventures." These events switch out every six weeks and the latest, "Shadows Over Hercopolis," brings a little action-RPG fun to the mix.

It was promised when the title was announced earlier this year and Creative Assembly has delivered. The free "Mortal Empires" DLC was put up on Steam last week and owners of both Total War: WARHAMMER 2 and Total War: WARHAMMER can now play as 12 of the possible 13 factions (Norscans will be added later) across a large map that combines the "Old World" map from the first game with the "Eye of the Vortex" of the second.
While Paris Games Week officially kicks off today, Sony was out in front of it all with some news of their own. Revealed during their pre-show press event, Monster Hunter: World will be getting a PlayStation 4 exclusive beta next month, and some additional special content.

The Nintendo Switch has become the go-to destination of late for successful "indie" titles (plus Skyrim) from the past couple years, and with good reason. October comes to a close today, and thus we're afforded one last chance to enjoy all of the Halloween-themed content offerings in our games before they get replaced by new holiday-based cosmetics. Epic Games dropped some new content into Fortnite last week that provides players with a chance to pick up a rocket launcher that shoots pumpkins, and also added some appropriately themed missions.
An official website for Konami's Metal Gear Survive went up last week and there's quite a bit of info to parse through there. While the official release date (Feb. 20, 2018) and a better explanation of what the co-op will entail (more on that in a sec) are nice things to know, there was another bit of info that might be a bit of a bummer to folks out there: you'll always need to be online to play, even in single-player.

War Thunder and its many, many combat vehicles have long been a major force in the PC and PlayStation 4 market, but the game has been (somewhat curiously) unavailable for the Xbox One. Finally, though, developer Gaijin Entertainment has reached an agreement with Microsoft to bring the game to their flagship console.
