There are some games you never thought you'd see made. Not necessarily because it's bad, but just because you never would have come up with the idea in a million years. Developer Neon Deity Games has had one such idea. In their game, Shutshimi (pronounced "shoot-shimi"), you play as a fish with big muscles and a big gun. Yep.
It's a good week to go off and have some co-op fun in real life. Not much is hitting the store shelves or download scene as far as cooperative gameplay is concerned, but there are a few things to get you by. There's also a nice selection of single player games launching this week if that's your thing. I won't judge.
This week's Deals With Gold sale on Xbox Live drops the price on the Xbox One edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition, giving you a chance to explore the Hinterlands and join in the game's featured co-op mode for only $35.99.
Alright, so Frank Everymarine just spent the last few hours in Helldivers protecting Super Earth from the Cyborg/Illuminate/Bug menace. After attaining a sufficient feeling of warm, fuzzy patriotism, he removes his oil and insect juice-spattered power armor and decides to hit the hay for a good night's sleep and some old fashioned R&R.
Eastern History has been subject to the revisionists over at Koei Tecmo since the PS2 era, with the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games portraying real-life figures with the ability to decimate a dozen men in one strike, and also possessing absurd anime haircuts. They've even broken into fictional territory, giving the Gundam and Zelda universes the ol' Warriors treatment. Now, it's time to return to our reality for a recap of Western Civ with Bladestorm: Nightmare, a game depicting the Hundred Years War: the historical conflict between England and France. Only now, Joan of Arc can blast fools with lightning, and the Black Prince can summon a dragon.
I don't know about you, but I feel that the new episodic release schedule of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is both a blessing and a curse. The anticipation for the game mounts, but we just want to play it. Always the tease, Capcom have released a teaser trailer for Episode 3 that heightens the intrigue.
That's right people, Grand Theft Auto V co-op Heists finally arrive tomorrow! It's been quite a long road getting here, but the wait will totally to be worth it. Bring up to three friends along to participate in planned co-operative missions for large amounts of cash.
Alright, so Warhammer End Times - Vermintide is centered around you dealing with a rat infestation. These bucktooth squatters are all up in your place of residence making everything diseased and covered in teeth marks.
If you love only the hottest references to contemporary pop culture, look no further than the newest trailer for Magicka 2. The fine folks at Pieces International have narrowly evaded copyright infringement by putting this latest trailer, detailing the various modes of Magicka 2, into an explicit homage of one of television's most currently popular shows. To complicate matters, you've got Magicka regular Vlad singing along with his constant assertion that he is not a vampire. Fans of the series will probably regard his claims as nothing more than a bold faced lie.
Holy Claptastic Claptopian Clapping, Claptrap. It seems that the latest piece of DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will allow you to delve into the very workings of what makes Claptrap tick (and waffle on endlessly). As well as some extra campaign content, the new DLC will also increase the game's cap level to 70.
We've just returned from PAX East 2015, expect to see a few pieces of coverage from the show floor. Until we get to that, we have a handful of pictures of some of the more interesting stuff we spotted around Boston. The Steam controller was there, Blizzard's new game Overwatch, a ton of indie games were there, and a whole lot of board games were being played. Of course there were tons of cosplayers who put some amazing work into their costumes. Enjoy!
