Total War: Rome II to Allow Modding

Do you all remember when Total War: Rome II came out and it was completely jacked up with bugs and required constant weekly patching immediately after release? Yeah, me too. This game is sort of a stain on Total War's otherwise flawless pedigree, and while Creative Assembly is hard at work attempting to fix it, it hasn't come full circle just yet. However, hope glimmers on the horizon. The next patch enables User Modding for Rome II, so if they can't figure out how to make their game good, someone will.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Delayed by One Week, More Co-Op Details

EA's third person action game Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is being pushed back from its original February 18 release date to February 25th. One has to assume the Future Cacti needed a bit more preparation, since they are from the future. Or something like that. On the plus side, with this delay comes a whole slew of juicy new co-op details for the four-player vs AI mode, Garden Ops.

Marvel Super Hero Squad Quietly Pulled From XBL

Probably to be filed under "things that won't surprise you," it's come to our attention that Marvel Super Hero Squad has been pulled from Xbox Live. This super hero brawler with pint-sized protagonists was geared towards younger kids and family play, but the nausea-inducing camera angles and unforgiving platforming bogged the game down to an unforgivable degree.

Saints Row IV, Company of Heroes 2 are Free to Play on Steam This Weekend

Every weekend there's usually one game on Steam that drops its price to free for a short period of time. You can demo the game and play it in its entirety for the weekend, but once the weekend is up you'll need to pay full price for the title. Of course the catch is the game is also on a mega sale so you can snag it on the cheap too. This weekend Steam has two great co-op games on following this model - Saints Row IV and Company of Heroes 2.

Our Weekend in Gaming - A Banner Saga Edition

The backlog completion has been temporarily put on hold a few giant indie releases came out this past week with A Banner Saga and Broken Age. Both kickstarter funded these (sadly single player) games have been met with great enthusiasm. There's also Nidhogg, a bizarre Atari looking game about fencing  and giant worms.

A listing for Diablo 3 on Xbox One has surfaced online for more than one Canadian retailer. Both Best Buy Canada and Futureshop posted entries for the console version before removing them Tuesday night. The game was also reported listed on Argos, a retailer in the UK, though it appears it has been taken down as well. Originally confirmed for...

Fable Trilogy Headed to Xbox 360

I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoyed all three entries in video game big-time dreamer Peter Molyneaux's Fable franchise and I'm probably not alone. For those of you out there with the need to consolidate all your Fable into one place, Fable Trilogy has been announced for the Xbox 360. Containing the remastered Fable Anniversary, with the complete versions of Fable 2 and Fable 3, you can now experience the entire Fable saga from start to finish from a single menu option.

As Seen in Screens - The LEGO Movie Videogame

I said LEGO were crazy to produce a toy made out of blocks.  I said they were mad if they thought a computer game of these blocks would work.  In the end, they drove me to insanity with The LEGO Movie Videogame; a game, of a film, about a bunch of blocks.  I will sooth my troubled mind with some new screenshots.
