The House of the Dead: Remake's Performance Mode Is the Way to Play on Switch

The House of the Dead: Remake is finally available on Nintendo Switch. Resurrected by Forever Entertainment, the same masterminds behind Panzer Dragoon: Remake, this new release is a faithful from-the-ground-up recreation of SEGA's original House of the Dead light-gun arcade game. Naturally, it substantially improves the graphics over those of the aging 1996 arcade game. The Switch version also adds an optional performance mode in order to keep the frame rate high. Gaze upon our many screenshots of the first level to see!

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for March 2022

Let's face it: All the majority of the Co-Optimus-Crew wanted to do in March was play Elden Ring. They didn't care for the Next-Gen-Version of GTA V and the release of Young Souls was all but a foot-note during their quest to become the Elden Lord. The craziness of titles like Strange of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and Tiny Tina's Wonderland also didn't manage to keep them away from Hidetaka Miyazaki's Masterpiece. They even ignored Carby! Carby from Kirby and the Forgotten Land! Can you believe that?!

New Details about The House of the Dead: Remake's Co-op and Competitive Modes

Forever Entertainment's remake of the classic lightgun shooter The House of the Dead is only a week away, so new information is starting to escape from the house's zombie-filled walls. The House of the Dead: Remake for Switch will feature both a co-op and competitive mode at launch, with the dual-wielding "Cowboy Mode" planned for a post-release update. Both digital and physical preorders have opened up, too, ahead of the game's April 7 release date.

Brook Wingman XB Review

There are lots of reasons to love Xbox as a platform: the power of the Series X, the affordability of Series S, the huge library of Game Pass, and more. What if you have an Xbox but prefer the PlayStation DualSense controller, though? What about that arcade stick for Switch you have lying around, or a PlayStation Taiko no Tatsujin drum controller – must they go to waste? Not at all! The simple solution is to get a Brook Wingman XB converter for Xbox. This relatively inexpensive accessory lets players use controllers from PlayStation, Switch, and more on an Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, or Xbox 360 console via both USB and Bluetooth.

Let's Take a Close Look at Carby in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the most exciting Kirby games in years. That's partially because of the game's beautiful, ruined new world and partially because of its excellent 2-player local co-op. However, the main reason The Forgotten Land is so exciting is because it introduces Kirby's best-ever form: Carby. What's a Carby? Check out this screenshot gallery for a good look.

The Ascent Has Finally Arisen on PlayStation

Neon Giant's The Ascent made waves when it launched on Xbox Game Pass last year. It was mostly notable for its detailed cyberpunk world and 4-player online co-op, though the launch version was awfully buggy as well. Now, PlayStation gamers have a chance to jack in and maybe deal with some bugs because The Ascent has just launched on PlayStation 4 and 5.
