It may be competitive, but if you want to avoid all the n00b talk, you'll want to practice up in DOTA 2's co-op mode. Here's the skinny.

CastleStorm on XBLA is an addictive tower attack game by Zen Studios which may have had dubious co-op elements, but is a great single player experience.  The latest From Outcast to Savior DLC aims to improve both the single and co-op elements of the game with new weapons, characters and levels.

Roland returns again in the form of a new skin, along with a bunch of his fellow Vault Hunter heroes within Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Now you can have the entire collection of Borderlands 2 skins at your grasp by grabbing the Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition “Skin Pack 5” in only a few days from now.

Looks like the summer gaming drought is almost over. This week we have a few tower defense games, a procedurally generated platformer, and an explosive new action title.

Space Ninjas. Do those word illicit a tingle in your special place? If so Warframe, a free to play 3rd person co-op action game from developer Digital Extremes, just might be your muse. We dove into the cooperative game to check out whether or not it’s currently worth our time. It should be noted that Warframe is in open beta, but since you can make in game purchases, that’s more or less released in our book.

Warframe is a free to play action game from developer digital extremes. In the game players take control of Tennos, a race of people who specialize in sword and gunplay. You're basically a space ninja and that's OK. Like any free to play game there are premium items to purchase. We break down the co-op aspects of the game along with some of the items you might be spending money on.

Free to Play games have traditionally had a negative reputation attached to them. For many the first thoughts that come to mind when hearing those three words are games like Farmville and Candycrush. It's the social stigma, the casual game, the titles are "real" gamer would never touch. But the reality of it is, there are some really quality AAA titles out there available for free, and some of those titles feature some strong cooperative play.

Uncharted 3 may offer the first 15 levels of the competitive multiplayer for free, but sadly co-op isn't included. The good news is that players can purchase additional components of the game separately without springing for the whole package. Maybe you've delved into the free multiplayer and have been eyeing the additional co-op sections of the game. If you've been patiently biding your time to pick up the co-op DLC, then you'll probably want to take note of this one-weekend sale.

Wow, can it be any quieter in the gaming industry right now? We are digging for news about cooperative titles but everyone must be away on vacation or something. Seriously, what's up with that? Since finally hitting open beta after years of development, the fine folks at Red 5 gave everyone a little sample of what to expect in Firefall. Their latest trailer is a high energy romp demonstrating the cell shaded beauty of the massive world they have built for the Sci-Fi MMO shooter.
