AOC E2352PHZ 3D Monitor Impressions

3D gaming and movies seem to be all the rage these days.  Every big theatrical release touts it's 3D viewing and several big games tout their compatibility with 3D on the PlayStation 3 and PC.  Most home 3D viewing is done using a system that requires a set of big glasses that use alternating eyes to give the impression of 3D.  But there's another method that's a lot less expensive and a lot closer to the experience you'd find in a movie theater - and that's polarized.  Over the past few weeks I've been using a new monitor from AOC that uses this method to display 3D images.

Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 2.27.2012

It's a little slow this week. The only truly new co-op release is a third person shooter.  I'll give you a couple hints, and you see if you can tell me where the game takes place.  Hint #1:  It's set in the future.  Hint #2: Robots.  Hint #3: Said future robots, or "frobots," as I like to call them, are becoming too human.  Hint #4: It's not a Blade Runner game (you wish!).

Details are being revealed about upcoming PSN exclusive Journey's co-op mode

Travel with a Stranger - Journey's Co-Op Mode

Journey is not a game that instantly screams co-op at you; its gentile nature and open vistas remind you more of thatgamecompany's earlier solo title, Flower. However, recent previews of the game have highlighted the co-op mode in the game and this is no normal multiplayer. Bucking convention, Journey will not allow you to play with a friend; instead you must work with a stranger.

The Last Story will release in the U.S. this summer

Time to Celebrate: Last Story is Coming to the U.S.

That's right, everyone. Earlier this week, Nintendo announced via an online news broadcast that the Last Story would be coming to the U.S. this summer. Though the game has been out for well over a year in Japan, it only released a few days ago in EU and AUS - and until this week, there had been no real verification whether it would be coming to the U.S. or not.

Seriously Sweet Serious Sam Sale on Steam This Weekend

The Serious Sam games - whether we're talking Serious Sam 3: BFE (the E stands for Everything), or even the original - pack a ton of co-op adrenaline. And what better way to get into the first-person shooter series than with a massive Steam sale? Steam has just launched the Serious Sam Complete Pack, which contains every PC game in the series. All of the individual Serious Sam titles are on sale this weekend too, with Serious Sam 3 costing just $13.60. CroTeam has also released a new, very silly retrospective trailer that's definitely worth a watch.

How Strong is Your Kung Fu - New Trailer Shows Off Kung Fu Strike in Action

It was barely a week ago that we brought news of a new 2 player brawler hitting the XBLA, Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior's Rise. At that time, we had only a small glimpse of what's in store with this arcade title that draws from classic Chinese tales of revenge, Chinese calligraphy art style, and, of course, Chinese martial arts. A new trailer, though, provides us with a better picture of how all of these pieces tie together.
