The latest title in the Operation Flashpoint series, Red River, is headed your way soon.  The tactical shooter will be on store shelves in less than a month, releasing on April 21.  To help tide you over, we've got a virtual battalion of media for you.  First up in the line of fire, a gallery of screenshots, followed by a marine-centric video called "Taking The Hit".  And if that wasn't enough for you, we've got the PC system specs too!

This weekend we're going to be firing up Halo Reach, not just for old times sake, but to check out the new Defiant Map pack and its new Firefight co-op map, Unearthed.  We'll be playing with the folks from 343 Industries and racking up as many Covenant kills as possible.  

Nintendo's 3DS handheld console launches today in the UK and Australia, while the system will launch in North America on Sunday the 27th.  Priced at $250, this marks Nintendo's most expensive handheld to date, but also its most ambitious.  The main feature is obviously the glasses free 3D screen for games and video, but there's a lot more packed into the little hand held than meets the eye.

We first previewed the local co-op title Islands of Wakfu back in 2009.  This was before PAX East and PAX Prime, it was just called PAX. You remember 2009, right?  Tiger Woods was still the number one golfer, Avatar was in theaters, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the best-selling game in the world.  

SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals is the next iteration of the popular PlayStation franchise. The game is launching next month and we were lucky enough to have a conference call with the team at Zipper to get the skinny on the game's five player co-op mode. There's that and a whole lot more in our preview.

We just received three new screenshots for Dead Island, the four player co-op zombie survival game coming later this year from developer Techland.  Once again we have our beautiful tropical paradise littered with the walking corpses hellbent on eating our brains. 

Cult classic Earth Defense Force 2017 offered replayability by having five difficulty levels accompanied by increasingly powerful loot drops.  Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon will not only have multiple difficulty levels and rare loot; the title will also promote multiple playthroughs with a new Campaign Remix mode.  According to Siloconera, the new Remix mode will allow you to play previously beaten levels with different enemies.  Instead of giant ants you may be facing giant spiders.  The article only list insects in the remix, but if waves of Hectors (giant robots) or space ships can be substituted, this could change the game up significantly.

Relic earned my personal Co-Op Game of the Year vote back in 2009 with the original Dawn of War 2. After one great expansion, can they keep the magic alive? Let's take Retribution for a spin and find out.

Bethesda and inXile have released a brand new trailer for Hunted: The Demon's Forge showcasing the game's two player co-op gameplay.  It's something we saw in our hands on preview.  The trailer, called The Power of Two, shows each character's unique strengths as well as their ability to work together.   

It wasn't even a month ago that Steam received an update that improved voice chat quality.  Now, today, Steam once again has received another major update this time improving voice chat even further.  The update adds in a codec (a method in which audio is compressed) that comes from popular online voice chat software Skype.  It's called SILK and not only should voicechat use less bandwidth, it should sound a lot cleaner and be more reliable. 

The Ghostbusters franchise is one of the most beloved franchises to come out of the 80s. After last years Ghostbusters videogame, many folks were hungry for more. Instead of another retail release, the latest title in the series is a downloadable game with 4 player co-op. We brave it in our review of Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime.

The UnderGarden is a nice casual game for your inner stoner child.  You play as a little imp who floats through caves while pollinating the plant life.  Vibrant flowers blossom as you pass by, little tiny musicians play soothing melodies.  There aren't any enemies to speak of.  We gave the two player local co-op title a score of 3 out of 5 in our Co-Op Review.  If you have mastered the Undergarden and find yourself wanting more, we have good news for you.  Two new levels are available for download on the Xbox Live Market Place.  They will cost you 160 Microsoft Points, or two bucks.
