Two days ago our newest staff member, Andrew, brought to light the latest in a string of Nazi Zombies rumors, this one courtesy of Brady Games. Always the cynic, I made sure to point out my suspicions that Treyarch would use our favorite undead brownshirts in a game set in a different time period - namely: Call of Duty: Black Ops, which features the Vietnam War and Cold War eras.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 launched a substantial DLC pack yesterday which will net you 22 new missions for the price of $4.99 on PSN. This pack contrasts with how the DLC was released in Japan where you could purchase each mission separately for about $1. Not bad in way of savings.

At a press conference today, Nintendo has revealed the final design, specs, and details of their upcoming 3D capable handheld - the Nintendo 3DS.  The device is set to launch in Japan on February 26th, 2011 for a price of 25,000 Yen.  Putting that through the standard conversion rate - that's about $300 - more than the Nintendo Wii currently sells for.   The system will launch in Europe and North America in March, but no official pricing has been set.

Luckily for Team 17, aliens’ have a regular breeding programme. Well they certainly have enough children to populate a second episode of the Alien Breed series within the space of a year. Are there enough new features in Alien Breed 2: Assault to justify buying a follow up so quickly?

With just a month to go before release, it's a shock that anything has stayed under wraps for Fable III for this long. The new buzz about Fable III is the immense amount of fame-laced voice talent as the various characters you'll encounter in the new Albion. Well, by "buzz" we really mean "proof" in the form of a rather amusing video.

It's that time again. Time to take another long look at Left 4 Dead 2 poster art for a delicious taste of the upcoming DLC, The Sacrifice. This pack is a prequel to The Passing DLC that came out earlier this year, in which the new survivors ran into the original pack of four (including one tragic demise).

If you're looking to get your zombie killing fix, and lets face it, who isn't - today's co-op release is right up your alley.  Capcom's Dead Rising 2 finds its way to North American store shelves complete with online two player co-op.  The reviews around the web are starting to trickle in, we'll have the Co-Optimus one on Monday, but overall they've been pretty positive.

The problem when it comes to the Fall gaming season is there's just too many good game to buy.  That's when many gamers turn to pre-owned titles or rental services like Gamefly.  Gamefly is the oldest and most popular of these with many of our Co-Optimus members satisfied with their service.  

One game that managed to slip under our radar, most likely thanks to the 200 Million Dollar juggernaut Halo Reach blocking its path, is Phantasy Star Portable 2.  Both games were actually released on the same day.  The sequel to the first Phantasy Star Portable title, PSP2 fixes one huge problem we had with the original PlayStation Portable title - online play.  The original title only feature local wireless play while the sequel supports full four player co-op via the internet.

DJ Hero 2 is headed your way next month, but we've got a new gameplay video for you to check out right now.  It's all about the details of the revamped Freestyle mode, and details all the options players will have at their literal fingertips.  Crossfading, scratching, and sampling are all available, letting players mix their music creatively without worrying about gameplay elements at all.  This gives a more realistic DJ experience, where the player is actually using the controller as an instrument.  There's also a tidbit about two-player co-op Freestyle, where you and a friend can draw inspiration from each other to create the perfect mix.  Definitely worth checking out if you are a DJ Hero fan.

It looks like January is becoming the new November as another game is being delayed from its previous Fall release until early next Winter.  We just received word from publisher Southpeak that Two Worlds 2 is being delayed until January 2011.   We had our reservations about the title at E3 back in June, saying we thought it'd need a bit more than 4 months in the oven - and thankfully - it looks like we'll get our wish.
