Xbox's Game with Gold program has provided a pretty solid value to all kinds of gamers for quite some time now. This month will be extra special for us cooperatively minded folks, though, as its lineup includes two co-op titles: Super Mega Baseball 2 and Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage (also known as Streets of Rage).
It's been a while since we've heard from Rebellion about their four player co-op adventure, Strange Brigade. Today, however, the UK developer announced that the title will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on August 28. So gather your friends and prepare to face off against the Witch Queen Seteki.
It took me a while to decide how I felt about Far Cry 5. I can’t tell you how many times I flipped back and forth on scores and talking points during my time with it, but what I can tell you is that, moment to moment, it’s a fun game. It really is. But it’s also a game that Ubisoft didn’t seem to trust to stand on its own&nb...
Hey there, friends. It's a pleasure having you back around for yet another edition of Weekend in Gaming. Far Cry 5 is still on the mind, of course, but it's beginning to fade away in favor of more varied plans. Such is the journey of a brand new co-op game.
Rebellion is bringing their first-person tank shooter, Battlezone, to a wider audience with the "Gold Edition." Originally a PlayStation 4 exclusive that required the PlayStation VR headset to play, the title was ported to the PC last year, though it still required a VR headset (either the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift) to play. Now, they're dropping the VR requirement altogether so friends everywhere can play together.
Digital Extremes released a new update this week for the PC version of their MMO-ish action title, Warframe. While the update includes the kind of things we usually see, i.e., new weapons and a new Warframe to assemble via finding all its blueprint pieces, then building the pieces, then assembling the pieces, it also includes something we haven't seen in awhile: a brand new Game Mode called "Sanctuary Onslaught."
In a YouTube video announcement, Techland, the team behind 2015’s fantastic zombie-parkour experience Dying Light, announced the sixth free content update to the game: "Snake in the Grass." While this update adds no Co-Op specific features, the entirety of Dying Light can be played in Co-Op with up to three friends, meaning that everything added are Co-Op friendly additions (wahoo!).
Gather 'round, everyone, it's that time of month again! Grab a hot cocoa or mulled wine and take a seat as I list the latest and greatest DLC news for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.
Paging all Hunters, hop into Monster Hunter: World right now and tackle the newest monster, the golden Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth. This one's a little special, though; it won't just be you and three of your buddies this time around. Kulve Taroth is an especially "big boi" and thus 16 players must team up to bring him down and craft new gear from his sparkly hide.
Fntastic, the developers that (initially) brought us The Wild Eight, launched a new game on Steam Early Access last month in the form of the multiplayer FPS/action title, Dead Dozen. While the main focus is an interesting blend of PvP and co-op where dead teammates get back up as ghouls (still controlled by the player) that attack their former friends. Today, they release an update titled "Escape" that adds a new strictly co-op mode.
Yesterday, Bandai Namco tweeted out that Dark Souls: Remastered would not be arriving on the Nintendo Switch at the same time as the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions. Instead, it will now be coming sometime "summer 2018." Perhaps the even worse bit of news here is that the Solaire amiibo is also delayed.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
