Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 brings back co-op proper to the series, featuring a full four player co-op campaign on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Gamers on the Xbox 360 and PS3 are missing out on the campaign unfortunately. That said everyone does get the four player co-op zombies mode which can be enjoyed either online or in local split-screen play. Take that Master Chief.

If you've played any of the Fable games, you're probably well acquainted with the furry ferocities known as Balverines. Though they're rarely central to the plot, the creatures go hand-in-hand with the Fable experience. They're like Tauntauns in Star Wars, or used needles at a music festival. The latest "Return to Albion" video shows Fable Legends continuing in the lycanthrope tradition, although these Balverines may be slightly different than the ones you remember.
One of the largest criticisms of any of the "toys-to-life" games is that at some point you'll need to buy additional characters in order to play through all the non-story path areas. LEGO Dimensions has come up with a great workaround to this by implementing a new "Hire a Hero" system.
Another Kickstarter success, Hover: Revolt of Gamers will be headed to the Xbox One at some point in the future. Currently, the game is available on Steam Early Access where it's still working on fixing bugs and getting to a more complete state.
Towards the end of September, we heard from Overkill that they were working on a patch for the Xbox One version of PAYDAY 2 that would address the biggest issue of the game: the matchmaking (or lack, thereof). No date for when this patch would be available was given, but it looks like it will be here sooner than the end of the year.

How far Call of Duty has come from its humble roots back in 2003, when legions of Allies were storming the beaches of Normandy to defeat the Axis scourge.
