1940s co-op campaign fun

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Mode Shadows of Evil Trailer Released

Activision and Treyarch have released a near four minute trailer for Shadows of Evil, the prologue for the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies mode campaign. Set as if in a 1940s film, it will feature the voice acting talents of Jeff Goldblum, Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, Robert Picardo, and Neal McDonough. This is just one of the zombie survival co-op storyline experiences that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be releasing.  The additional one being titled “The Giant” will feature alternate versions of the original Zombies characters from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

You always wanted to beat up Nova, just admit it

Next Disney Infinity Set to Include Arena Brawler Co-Op

The next big play set for Disney Infinity 3.0, titled "Marvel Battlegrounds," is slated for release next spring and, as has been the trend thus far with these releases, will introduce a new gameplay mechanic. Specifically, the ability to team-up with friends to duke it out in an arena against other Marvel heroes/villains. The biggest news here is that this mode will support four-player local co-op, a series first.

Mining simulator finally allows flight, players rejoice.

Flying Capes Will Soon Be Coming To Minecraft

At a rate only slightly faster than that of actual aeronautic engineering, Minecraft has finally given Survival Mode players a chance to soar around their maps and marvel at their sprawling fortresses and hilarious Simpsons statues.  No longer must you clamber up the nearest mountain to snap a fancy photo of your Green Hill Zone replica.  Instead, a simple hillside and the brand new cape will probably suffice.

Finally, something to thin out the aggressive bear population.

Lose Your Way In Killing Floor 2's New Black Forest Map; Map Mod Support

Sometimes, you just need to step away from your desk, put down your controller, and wander into the Great Outdoors. Take in the fresh air, bathe in nature, and be sure to watch for out for those hideous, shambling ZEDs that infest the wilds. Oh, you didn't know about the zombies? Yeah. Apparently, "outside" is pretty dangerous. Just a heads up.

The Co-Optimus Extra Life Team Needs You

Every year, Co-Optimus participates in Extra Life, a 24-hour gaming marathon that raises money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year is no different. We're pulling the team together again, and we're hoping to raise $2,500 for kids who need medical help. The donations go to kids who need treatments for scary diseases like cancer, kids injured in accidents, or premature babies who were born way too early. Hospitals can also choose to spend donations on state of the art facilities and equipment to serve local children even better.

Wall to wall geekery

NYCC 2015 In Pictures

I think this is my fifth or sixth New York Comic-Con, with every year the show getting larger and larger. They've actually split it into two shows, with a more comic book focused one taking place over the summer and the October show focusing more on the culture. Still the Javits Center in NYC is jam packed wall to wall with people, overflowing with cosplayers, comic books, video games, and movies.
