PC MMO, WildStar, from Carbine Studios has joined hands with NCSOFT to announce that on September 29th, 2015 the game will finally release in its free-to-play form.

In case you were worried about a shortage of cooperative beat 'em ups on the market, Rake in Grass has got you covered. Fresh out of the oven is Rampage Knights, a randomized dungeon crawling action game that lets you and a buddy explore and fight from morning 'til night with more items, spells and enemies than you can shake a sword at.

It's been a while since we've posted any videos, but Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op is still live (nearly) every Friday. Our two most recent successful streams include episode 6, where the F.A.L.C.O. team finished off Trine 2 and played a bit of the Goblin Menace DLC, and episode 7.1, where we massacred brain-hungry zombies in Zonaco.

One trend I really don't mind seeing is game genres taking place in outer space. Once the sole property of sci-fi releases, just about any title can relocate to the middle of the black without having to slap a science fiction label on the cover. Rogue Continuum keeps the tradition going with a cooperative roguelike planet-crawler shmup that just hit Steam Early Access.

If there's one thing I could do just about all day, it's watch the videos/trailers that Paradox puts out for Magicka 2. Sure, there's something new they're trying to communicate here (a new element type and ice/steam elements now combine in the spell combo bar), but I mean, it's more fun to just watch!

Outside of the odd MMO, it's not often that players get to experience the Star Wars universe cooperatively.  I suppose this makes a certain kind of sense when you consider that "wars" is in the franchise name, but nevertheless, the desire to blast Droidekas, Sith, Rebel Scum, etc. with a buddy was starting to reach critical mass.  That was, until Star Wars Battlefront was announced to have a dedicated two player co-op mode.

In the realm of twin-stick shooters, I figured I'd seen it all at this point. Then we got tipped off to a little game called Pixel Galaxy, which arrives on Steam today, September 18. The title is billed as a "non-shooting 'shmup," which seems to mean that you will be dodging enemy bullets, but you won't be firing back.

The annual Tokyo Game Show (TGS) started up earlier this week and while much of what's been seen/discussed there has either been seen at E3 or Gamescom, there's always a little something new. Like, say, Dark Souls 3 getting a release date. Oh yes!

Dead Island is one of those franchises that seemed to come out of nowhere and became instantly popular.  The first came was excellent, but did you ever play the 4 player co-op MOBA, Dead Island: Epidemic?  If not, you have until October 15th to give the game a go.  If you did, get on there and spend up your in game currency! 

Start warming up those vocal cords, tuning the guitars, and tightening those drum skins, Harmonix has revealed Rock Band 4's final setlist when the game arrives next month. I know I'll be crooning along to Presley's "Suspicious Minds" and Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl."
